A Nonuniformity Correction Method Based on 1D Guided Filtering and Linear Fitting for High-Resolution Infrared Scan Images

During imaging, each infrared focal plane linear array scan detector detection unit determines a row of pixels in the image output. This sensor’s nonuniformity appears as horizontal stripes. Correcting high-resolution images without destroying delicate details is challenging. In this paper, single-frame-based correction algorithm proposed. A portion single-frame picture intercepted initially. The 1D column guided filter applied to smooth captured vertical direction. Then, and high-frequency component with stripes texture information are obtained. subsequent step use input, so that estimated noise may be extracted using filter. segment corrected then obtained by subtracting from raw image. coefficients could performing regression fit on pre- post-guided filtering segments. With coefficients, entire corrected. Based qualitative quantitative analysis, proposed outperforms other current advanced algorithms terms real-time performance.
