A Nonlinear Programming-Based Morphing Strategy for a Variable-Sweep Morphing Aircraft Aiming at Optimizing the Cruising Efficiency

This work develops a morphing decision strategy to optimize the cruising efficiency for variable-sweep aircraft, and simple practical guidance control system is given as well. They can in tandem accomplish cruise mission effectively. To make accurately, we take into account equilibrium equations of forces; variations airspeed, altitude, mass optimal configurations different conditions are solved based on nonlinear programming method with objective minimum engine thrust. Considering that large amount computational resources required solve problems, establish an offline database design database-based online process. In addition, proposed includes anti-disturbance mechanism, which ensures configuration be accurately without chattering under fluctuating airspeed measurements. Comparative results from simulations finally validate effectiveness strategy.
