<span lang="EN-US">This paper focuses on a single-switch buck-boost (SSBB) converter for light emitting diode (LED) lighting applications. The proposed LED driver with power factor correction (PFC) shows enhanced performance in terms of input factor, efficiency and reduced voltage stress across the switch. presented is operated discontinuous conduction mode (DCM). PFC carried out using average current control (ACMC) controller optimized artificial bee colony (ABC) algorithm. A hardware prototype 50W ACMC implemented programmable interface circuit (PIC) microcontroller. experimental results are compared conventional buck boost driver. SSBB achieves an 0.96 98%.</span>
