چکیده

Winter wheat occupies significant areas in the fields of Republic Tatarstan. The purpose current paper was to develope a new winter common variety ‘Sultan’ and identify its ability produce not only high yields, but also grain quality conditions Republic. study carried out on TatRIA, separate structural subdivision FRC KazSC RAS gray forest soil when sown bare fallow at optimal time for this area. has presented characteristics according economically valuable traits during years (2018–2020). developed by method individual selection from hybrid population (Kazanskaya84 х Moskovskaya39) Kazanskaya 285. According productivity, exceeded standard ‘Kazanskaya 560’ 0.75 t/ha. There been established that large productivity is formed due density productive stem, number weight per ear. characterized frost-winter resistance (90 % average over three trials), can withstand temperature decrease level tillering node minus 20°C winter. reparation spring. forms well-filled with unit 780–801 g/l. Comparison of bloat potential between a variety of soft-red versus a variety of hard-red winter wheat forage.

Some aspects of wheat pasture bloat have been researched extensively, but few studies have evaluated the effect of wheat type or variety on bloat. Eight Gelbvieh x Angus ruminally cannulated heifers (515 +/- 49 kg of BW) and 48 Angus heifers (238 +/- 12 kg of BW) grazed 1-ha pastures of hard-red or soft-red winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) to evaluate the effect of wheat variety on bloat pot...

Association Mapping and Validation of QTLs for Flour Yield in the Soft Winter Wheat Variety Kitahonami

The winter wheat variety Kitahonami shows a superior flour yield in comparison to other Japanese soft wheat varieties. To map the quantitative trait loci (QTL) associated with this trait, association mapping was performed using a panel of lines from Kitahonami's pedigree, along with leading Japanese varieties and advanced breeding lines. Using a mixed linear model corrected for kernel types and...

Combining Ability in Winter Wheat

Knowledge of quantitative genetic parameters is crucial in allocating resources for different steps of multistage selection programs. The main objective of the present study was to investigate the magnitude of variance of general combining ability (GCA) and specifi c combining ability (SCA) effects and their interaction with environments in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.). We used four data sets (...
