چکیده
This paper presents an extension of the generalized extreme value (GEV) distribution, based on T-X family distributions: Gompertz-generated distributions that make existing distribution more flexible called Gompertz-general (Go-GEV) distribution. Some properties proposed are introduced, and a new is applied to actual data, namely rainfall in Lopburi Province, by comparing model with traditional GEV estimating return levels Province. Results showed Go-GEV was alternative for values fitted data described maximum better than The probability density functions had various shapes including left-skewed, right-skewed close symmetric. Estimation Province indicated Buachum Station should be monitored because it higher precipitation at 2, 5, 10 15 years. HIGHLIGHTS analysis complex but ignoring observation just unacceptable not best practice. 15 صفحه اولExtreme Temperature Forecast in Mbonge, Cameroon through Return Level Analysis of the Generalized Extreme Value (GEV) Distribution
In this paper, temperature extremes are forecast by employing the block maxima method of the Generalized extreme value(GEV) distribution to analyse temperature data from the Cameroon Development corporation(C.D.C). By considering two sets of data (Raw data and simulated data) and two (stationary and non-stationary) models of the GEV distribution, return levels analysis is carried out and it was...

Ait-Sahalia and Lo (2000) and Panigirtzoglou and Skiadopoulos (2004) have argued that Economic VaR (E-VaR), calculated under the option market implied risk neutral density is a more relevant measure of risk than historically based VaR. As industry practice requires VaR at high confidence level of 99%, we propose Extreme Economic Value at Risk (EE-VaR) as a new risk measure, based on the General...
متن کاملModelling Extreme Temperature in Malaysia Using Generalized Extreme Value Distribution
Extreme temperature of several stations in Malaysia is modelled by fitting the monthly maximum to the Generalized Extreme Value (GEV) distribution. The Mann-Kendall (MK) test suggests a non-stationary model. Two models are considered for stations with trend and the Likelihood Ratio test is used to determine the best-fitting model. Results show that half of the stations favour a model which is l...
متن کاملEstimation for the Type-II Extreme Value Distribution Based on Progressive Type-II Censoring
In this paper, we discuss the statistical inference on the unknown parameters and reliability function of type-II extreme value (EVII) distribution when the observed data are progressively type-II censored. By applying EM algorithm, we obtain maximum likelihood estimates (MLEs). We also suggest approximate maximum likelihood estimators (AMLEs), which have explicit expressions. We provide Bayes ...
