چکیده
Abstract. Antarctic digital elevation models (DEMs) are essential for fieldwork, ice motion tracking and the numerical modelling of sheet. In past 30 years, several DEMs derived from satellite data have been published. However, these either coarse spatial resolution or aggregate observations spanning which limit their further scientific applications. this study, new generation laser altimeter Ice, Cloud, Land Elevation Satellite-2 (ICESat-2) is used to generate a DEM both sheet shelves. Approximately 4.69 × 109 ICESat-2 measurement points November 2018 2019 estimate surface elevations at resolutions 500 m 1 km based on spatiotemporal fitting method. 74 % Antarctica observed remaining observation gaps interpolated using normal kriging The formed estimated in grid cells, finally posted m. متن کاملDigital Elevation Model (DEM) Generation from Stereo Images
Digital elevation model (DEM) generation from stereo images is an effective and economical method in topography mapping. This paper used the stereo pair methodology to generate the digital elevation model (DEM) from PRISM (Panchromatic Remote-Sensing Instrument Satellite) sensor which is onboard of ALOS (Advanced Land Observing Satellite). The pair of forward-backward is used as stereoscopic im...

In recent years with developing geographic information systems tools, modeling and simulating methods has been developed quickly. Availability of accurate base maps is the basis of the cell sizes determination and preparing digital hydrologic models. Removing errors and minimizing of uncertainty factors in the digital models play the main role in improving the accuracy of the maps. The main pur...
متن کامل3D Visualization of Large Digital Elevation Model (DEM) Data Set
With the rapid development of Earth observation technologies, raster data has become the main Geographic Information System (GIS) data source. GIS should be able to manage and process huge raster data sets. In this paper, the problem of 3-dimensional visualization of huge DEM data sets and its corresponding image data sets in GIS was addressed. A real-time delamination method based on raster ch...
متن کاملA digital elevation model of the Antarctic ice sheet derived from ERS·l altimeter data and comparison with terrestrial measurements
The launch of ERS-l provides coverage, by satellite altimetry, of 80% of the Antarctic ice sheet, allowing topographic mapping of areas which previously had a dearth of accurate elevation data. Four 35 d repeat cycles of fastdelivery altimeter data were used in this study, comprising a total of approximately 1000000 height estimates. About 40% of these were rejected during a careful filtering p...
