چکیده

The scarcity of freshwater resources in many regions the world has contributed to emergence various technologies for treating and recovering wastewater reuse industry, agriculture, households. Deep treatment from oils petroleum products is one difficult tasks that must be solved. Among known technologies, UF membranes have found wide industrial application with high efficiency removing pollutants wastewater. It shown search development highly efficient, durable, resistant oil pollution oily an urgent research task. key parameters improve performance are by enhancing wettability (hydrophilicity) antifouling behavior membranes. In this review, we highlight using ultrafiltration (UF) primarily treat Various methods polymer alterations membrane were studied hydrophilicity, ability membrane, rejection, including blending, surface modification, mixed matrix. influence type composition hydrophilic additives nanoparticles (e.g., Multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCNT), graphene oxide (GO), zinc (ZnO), titanium dioxide (TiO2), etc.) was investigated. review further provides insight into removal percent.

Preparation of blend hydrophilic PSF-SPEEK ultrafiltration membranes for oily wastewater treatment

Membrane separation is known as an efficient technique for the oily wastewater treatment. Therefore, in the present study, sulfonated poly (ether ether ketone) (SPEEK) was introduced into the polysulfone (PSF) solution in order to enhance the hydrophilicity and the membrane structure for the oil–water separation. The hollow fiber membranes were fabricated via a phase-inversion process. The memb...

Nanofiltration for water and wastewater treatment – a mini review

The application of membrane technology in water and wastewater treatment is increasing due to stringent water quality standards. Nanofiltration (NF) is one of the widely used membrane processes for water and wastewater treatment in addition to other applications such as desalination. NF has replaced reverse osmosis (RO) membranes in many applications due to lower energy consumption and higher f...
