A microscopy study of nickel-based superalloys performance in type I hot corrosion conditions

چکیده
Alloy material selection for sustainable, efficient, and cost-effective use in components is a key requirement both power generation aerospace sectors. Superalloys are manufactured using combination of different elements, selected carefully to balance mechanical performance environmental resistance be used variety service conditions. Therefore, fundamental understanding each element critical alloy design. In this paper, the interaction chemistry, particularly chromium as corrosion-resistant along with titanium molybdenum, their effect on alloys relevant gas turbine industries were discussed. Based findings, single-crystal found better corrosion resistant exhibited higher comparison polycrystal proved that microstructure has significant impact performance. This study also established molybdenum level chromia former can significantly enhance damage.
