A Method for Estimating Forest Aboveground Biomass at the Plot Scale Combining the Horizontal Distribution Model of Biomass and Sampling Technique

چکیده
Accurate estimation of small-scale forest biomass is a prerequisite and basis for trading carbon sinks optimizing the allocation forestry resources. This study aims to develop plot-scale methodology estimating aboveground (AGB) that combines horizontal distribution model (HDM) sampling techniques improve efficiency, reduce costs provide reliability biomass. Simao pine (Pinus kesiya var. langbianensis) from Pu’er City, Yunnan Province, was used as research subject in this study. A canopy profile (CPM) constructed based on data branch analysis transformed into HDM. The AGB within sample plots simulated using HDM per-wood survey compared with results location (LDM) simulation. estimations were carried out separately by combining different methods plot models. effectiveness all schemes analyzed, best plan forests optimized. are follows: power function constructing CPM study; visual comparison coefficient variation, has larger more continuous than LDM, which closer actual distribution; HDM-based plans have smaller sizes ratios LDM-based ones; lastly, stratified method (STS)-HDM-6 efficiency minimum size 10 ratio 15%. result illustrates potential increase effectively.

Combining Multi-Source Remotely Sensed Data and a Process-Based Model for Forest Aboveground Biomass Updating
Monitoring and understanding the spatio-temporal variations of forest aboveground biomass (AGB) is a key basis to quantitatively assess the carbon sequestration capacity of a forest ecosystem. To map and update forest AGB in the Greater Khingan Mountains (GKM) of China, this work proposes a physical-based approach. Based on the baseline forest AGB from Landsat Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus (ETM...

deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
