A macro-micro approach to modeling parking

چکیده
In this paper, we propose a new macro-micro approach to modeling parking. We first develop microscopic parking simulation model considering both on- and off-street with limited capacity. the model, search algorithm is proposed mimic cruising-for-parking based on principle of proximity, parking-related state tracking acquire an event-based simulated data set. Some key aspects are discussed sim-ulated evidence theoretical analysis. Results suggest (i) although low cruising speed reduces network performance, it does not significantly alter macroscopic or fundamental diagram (MFD NFD) unless vehicles dominate traffic stream; (ii) distance park uniquely determined by occupancy because factors such as dura-tion also contribute; (iii) multiscale occupancy-driven intelligent guidance can re-duce yielding considerable efficiency gains. Using then extend, calibrate, validate dynamics NFD representation. The demonstrated consistency between macro- micro-models permits integration two for online pricing optimization via predictive control. Numerical experiments highlight effectiveness well one caveat. That is, when on-street parking, road connected alternate lots must have sufficient capacity ac-commodate increased demand; otherwise, local congestion may arise that violates ho-mogeneity assumption underlying model.

A Micro–Macro Approach to Modeling Progressive Damage in Composite Structures
Modeling progressive damage in composite materials and structures poses considerable challenges because damage is, in general, complex and involves multiple modes such as delamination, transverse cracking, fiber breakage, fiber pullout, etc. Clearly, damage in composites can be investigated at different length scales, ranging from the micromechanical to the macromechanical specimen and structur...
متن کاملSimulation and modeling of macro and micro components produced by powder injection molding: A review
During the recent years powder processing technologies have gained much attention due to the less energy consumption and recyclable powders. Manufacturing of complicated parts by the conventional powder metallurgy (PM) method is hard due to the uniaxial pressure, which leads to the low design flexibility. In order to prevail these constraints, powder injection molding (PIM) process, which inclu...

The growing importance of philosophy of engineering cannot be...
متن کاملresponse articles: micro and macro analysis
the present study reports an analysis of response articles in four different disciplines in the social sciences, i.e., linguistics, english for specific purposes (esp), accounting, and psychology. the study has three phases: micro analysis, macro analysis, and e-mail interview. the results of the micro analysis indicate that a three-level linguistic pattern is used by the writers in order to cr...
15 صفحه اولFrom Modeling Parking Search to Establishing Parking Policy
The paper presents a conceptual view and explicit agent-based model of parking in a city. Driver-agents behave within a high-resolution GIS database of the street network and parking facilities. They drive towards their destination, search for parking, park for a given interval of time, and leave the network. During parking search, driver-agents estimate the availability of parking places, thei...
