Abstract Sonic boom reduction has been an urgent need for the development of future supersonic transport, because heavy damage noise pollution. This paper provides a novel concept aircraft to reduce sonic and drag coefficient, wherein suction slot near leading edge injection trailing on airfoil surface are opened. To make sure zero net mass flux flow control, sucked in is equal injected edge. The diamond NACA0008 airfoils adopted as baseline verify capability proposed design method. effects location, size, rate attack angle ground signature coefficient studied detail. results show that optimized with have benefits both wave reduction.
