A light yield enhancement method using wavelength shifter for the STCF EMC

Super Tau-Charm Facility (STCF) is a next-generation high luminosity electron-positron collider facility and currently one of the major options for accelerator-based particle physics experiment in China. The crystal-based electromagnetic calorimeter (EMC) with undoped CsI sub-system STCF spectrometer. To fulfill increasing requirements on measurement precision suffering radiation, improving detected light yield an important task EMC R&D. This paper studies "wavelength shifting propagation" scheme using nanostructured organosilicon luminophore (NOL). are performed by both Monte Carlo simulation experimental tests. proved to be improved factor 1.59 experiment. Meanwhile, study NOL's radiation hardness carried out verify reliability NOL. No obvious degradation performance observed total ionization does up 100 krad, far beyond dose ten years operation.
