چکیده
Background and Importance: Dural ectasia is circumferential extension or dilatation of the dural sac, it commonly associated with Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1). Because NF1 a high likelihood tumor formation, critical to distinguish from other posterior mediastinal cancers such as neurofibroma, neuroblastoma, ganglioneuroma. Scoliosis most frequently observed feature in patients spinal deformities. Moreover, there are several distinctive radiographic features, including ectasia, defective pedicles, spondylolisthesis, which relatively less common these patients. Surgery may be performed for stabilization spine. Case Presentation: The present study reports on 62-year-old female neurofibromatosis who was referred an unusual chest X-ray Computed Tomography (CT) revealing thoracic mass while she hospitalized under observation dyspnea. film showed homogenous opacity well-defined margin right apex. CT enlarged intervertebral foramen defected vertebral arch around scoliosis. Although pre-operative diagnosis dumbbell neurinoma, found protrusion dura mater fluid out canal. Part wall excised, residual opening repaired, surgical performed. Conclusion: Retrospectively, magnetic resonance imaging characteristics anterior meningocele, which, asymptomatic case, require regular follow-ups. Surgical intervention alternative deformities symptomatic due adverse effects cord compression structures.
