چکیده

Evidence from animal models and epidemiological studies has linked prenatal alcohol exposure \PAE) to a broad range of long-term cognitive behavioral deficits. However, there is paucity evidence regarding the nature levels PAE associated with increased risk clinically significant To derive robust efficient estimates effects on function, we have developed hierarchical meta-analysis approach synthesize information cognition, integrating data multiple outcomes six U.S. longitudinal cohort studies. A key assumption standard methods meta-analysis, effect sizes are independent, violated when intercorrelated synthesized across Our involves estimating dose-response coefficients for each outcome then pooling these correlated obtain an estimated \global" cognition. In first stage, use individual participant by fitting regression that adjust potential confounding variables using propensity scores. The correlation matrix characterizing dependence between outcome-specific within run, while accommodating incomplete some outcome. We also compare inferences based proposed full multivariate analysis.

Vitamin D and multiple health outcomes in the Harvard cohorts.

The hypothesis that vitamin D is inversely associated with multiple health outcomes has been studied in the Harvard cohorts, including the Nurses' Health Study I (n=121,700 female nurses aged 37-64 at baseline in 1984), Nurses' Health Study II (n=116,671 female nurses aged 27-44 years at baseline in 1991), Health Professionals Follow-up Study (n=51,529 male health professionals aged 40-75 years...

Practice of Epidemiology Hierarchical Regression for Analyses of Multiple Outcomes

In cohort mortality studies, there often is interest in associations between an exposure of primary interest and mortality due to a range of different causes. A standard approach to such analyses involves fitting a separate regression model for each type of outcome. However, the statistical precision of some estimated associations may be poor because of sparse data. In this paper, we describe a...

ON QUASILINEAR ELLIPTIC SYSTEMS INVOLVING MULTIPLE CRITICAL EXPONENTS

In this paper, we consider the existence of a non-trivial weaksolution to a quasilinear elliptic system involving critical Hardyexponents. The main issue of the paper is to understand thebehavior of these Palais-Smale sequences. Indeed, the principaldifficulty here is that there is an asymptotic competition betweenthe energy functional carried by the critical nonlinearities. Thenby the variatio...
