A functional polyvinyl alcohol fibrous membrane loaded with artemisinin and chloroquine phosphate

In order to reduce the infection rate of major respiratory diseases, it is crucial development masks with antibacterial functions. This paper describes an electrospun polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) fibrous membranes loaded drugs. The concentration artemisinin (ART)/chloroquine phosphate (CQP) in PVA solution and process parameters were investigated. Meanwhile, physical properties effect, filtration performance, resistance surface wettability drug tested analyzed. results showed that when mass was 9 wt.% dosage ART/CQP 1.5/10 mg/mL, fibers had uniform thickness no beads. prepared fiber membrane has good hydrophilic, properties, inhibition zone Staphylococcus aureus Escherichia coli 7 ± 0.3 mm 4 0.2 mm, respectively. potential value application medical protective mask materials.
