Abstract Regenerative braking is a technique that employs electric motors to convert the dynamic mechanical energy from motor’s spinning rotor and any attached loads into electricity. However, such type of regenerative can only slow but not stop vehicle because there too little excite motor acting as generator at low speeds. Therefore, this paper presents unique flywheel-based system for railway vehicles. This supposed meet high safety comfort expectations in all operating conditions. The action control should allow empty or loaded vehicles according load, anti-blockage wheels prevent wheel-slide during wheel slip acceleration. new under development, like kinetic recovery system, requires application continuously variable transmission. essence solution design build transmission using one planetary gear controlled through powertrain module an cooperating concurrently. describes complete modelling simulation realisation on closed-loop servomotor drive, which cooperates with based Scilab/Xcos environment.
