چکیده

Abstract Experiments to search for neutrinoless double-beta (0 νββ ) decay of 76 Ge using a high-purity germanium (HPGe) detector rely heavily on background suppression technologies enhance their sensitivities. In this work, we proposed pulse-shape analysis method based neural network (NN) and light gradient boosting machine (lightGBM; LGB) discriminate single-electron (background) double-electrons signal) events in multi-electrode HPGe detector. paper, describe system, data-processing simulation procedures. We built fully connected (FC) an LGB model classify the single- double-electron events. The FC is trained with simulated double-electron-induced pulses tested independent dataset generated by simulation. discrimination efficiency test set 0 signal was 77.4%, precision 57.7%, training time 430 min. 73.1%, 64.0%, 1.5 This study demonstrated that it feasible realize detectors model. These results can be used as reference future experiments.

Search for neutrinoless double beta decay of 76Ge with the GERmanium Detector Array "GERDA"

The study of neutrinoless double beta decay (DBD) is the only one presently known approach to the fundamental question if the neutrino is a Majorana particle, i.e. its own anti-particle. The observation of neutrinoless DBD would not only establish the Majorana nature of the neutrino but also represent a determination of its effective mass if the nuclear matrix element is given. So far, the most...

Neutrinoless double beta decay

The status of the search for neutrinoless double beta decay is reviewed. The effort to reach the sensitivity needed to cover the effective Majorana neutrino mass corresponding to the degenerate and inverted mass hierarchy is described. Various issues concerning the theory (and phenomenology) of the relation between the 0νββ decay rate and the absolute neutrino mass scale are discussed, in parti...

Neutrinoless Double-Beta Decay

This paper introduces the neutrinoless double-beta decay the rarest nuclear weak process and describes the status of the research for this transition, both from the point of view of theoretical nuclear physics and in terms of the present and future experimental scenarios. Implications of this phenomenon on crucial aspects of particle physics are briefly discussed. The calculations of the nuclea...

Neutrinoless Double Beta Decay Constraints∗

A brief overview is given of theoretical analyses with neutrinoless double beta decay experiments. Theoretical bounds on the “observable”, 〈m〉ββ , are presented. By using experimental bounds on 〈m〉ββ , allowed regions are obtained on the ml-cos 2θ12 plane, where ml stands for the lightest neutrino mass. It is shown that Majorana neutrinos can be excluded by combining possible results of future ...

Multi-Majoron Modes for Neutrinoless Double-Beta Decay*

We construct two new classes of models for double beta decay, each of which leads to an electron spectrum which differs from the decays which are usually considered. One of the classes has a spectrum which has not been considered to date, and which is softer than the usual two-neutrino decay of the Standard Model. We construct illustrative models to show how other phenomenological bounds can be...
