In Placement Legalization, it is often assumed that (almost) all standard cells possess the same height and can therefore be aligned in cell rows , which then treated independently. However, this no longer true for recent technologies, where a substantial number of double- or even arbitrary multiple-row to expected. Due interdependencies between placements within several rows, legalization task becomes considerably harder. paper, we show how optimize squared movement pairs adjacent comprising single- as well double-row with fixed left-to-right ordering time \(\mathcal {O}(n\cdot \log (n)) \) n denotes involved. Opposed prior works, do not artificially bound maximum guarantee find an optimum solution. Our approach also allows include gridding movebound constraints cells. Experimental results average percental decrease over \(26\% total when compared fixes more than single-row after Global Placement.
