A Dual-Band Shared-Aperture Antenna With Wide-Angle Scanning Capability for Mobile System Applications

چکیده

A dual-band shared-aperture phased array antenna with wide-angle scanning capability (WASC) is presented in this paper for mobile communications. Each element consists of two wideband microstrip units air-cavity the C-band and one wide beam magnetic-electro dipole unit S-band. To achieve scanning, a should have low inter-element mutual coupling array-element beam-width. simple metallic strip (MS), comprising four metal stubs rectangle shaped pillar, utilized to improve isolation between C- S-bands. Furthermore, can also broaden beam-width without distorting wide-beam property S-band units. The designed based on above elements, WASC realized both S- bands coupling. verify proposed method, fabricated characterized, yielding good performance within overall operating bandwidth. measured results align very well simulated. realizes coverage ±60° gain reduction less than 3 dB S-bands, which candidate base station environment.
