A Dominating Set Routing Scheme for Adaptive Caching in Ad Hoc Network

Current efforts for providing an efficient dynamic source routing protocol (DSR) use in multi-hop ad-hoc wireless are promising. This is since DSR has a unique characteristic that it uses routing, instead of relying on the table at each intermediate device. study addresses current challenges facing terms changes route and how to update such into cache DSR. The typically persist when sudden break occurs resulting delay updating new node location protocol. For that, this proposes novel algorithm improve network using dominating set-based (DBR). In DBR, nodes establish accordance with characteristics route. Network Simulator version 2 (NS2) was used implement evaluate proposed algorithm. A comparison certain performance metrics carried among DSR-DBR, DSR-route-cache, DSR-original transmission control user datagram DSR-DBR result showed significant improvement average throughput, end-to-end delay, discovery time overhead.
