A Discrete Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm for Stochastic Vehicle Scheduling

Vehicle scheduling plays a profound role in public transportation. Especially, stochastic vehicle may lead to more robust schedules. To solve the problem (SVSP), discrete artificial bee colony algorithm (DABC) is proposed. Due discreteness of SVSP, DABC, new encoding and decoding scheme with small dimensions designed, whilst an initialization rule three neighborhood search schemes (i.e., scheme, heuristic learnable scheme) are devised individually. A series experiments demonstrate that proposed DABC any able produce better schedules than benchmark results performs best among schemes.
