Purpose The purpose of this paper is to understand the strategic management a technology-enabled shift from product-centric service-centric logic and identify sociotechnical dynamics underlying transition. study focuses on how manufacturers manage create value in industrial markets through digital servitization. Design/methodology/approach An abductive research approach used investigate two manufacturing firms, an interpretive framework as analytical template. A cross-case analysis conducted. Findings case companies strategically managed processes digitization co-create value. Their service orientation delineates dissimilarity terms It reflects viable ecosystem that moves toward datatization adaptation one reconfiguration other case. Practical implications theoretically grounded, empirically informed proposed detect transformational mechanisms co-creation digitally servitized contexts, thus contributing viability. Originality/value This first adopt system perspective such combined with service-dominant reconceptualize overall leading digitized creation.
