چکیده
Background: Infertility is defined as the inability to conceive after one two years of unprotected intercourse. It types: primary infertility and secondary 5On basis etiopathology divided into five groups: unexplained (28%), male factor (24%), ovarian dysfunction (21%), tubal (14%) others (13%). Luteinizing hormone (LH) follicle-stimulating (FSH) are integral parts neural endocrine interchange between hypothalamus, pituitary, gonads that control steroid synthesis gamete production. Serum luteinizing hormone and follicle stimulating hormone in normal children and patients with various clinical disorders.
Serum concentrations of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) were determined in 329 normal children and 185 individuals with endocrinological abnormalities or variations of development. A significant increase of gonadotrophins is noted at the onset of puberty among the boys and at menarche for girls. The values are compared with serum concentrations of LH and FSH in c...
متن کاملDissociation of human follicle-stimulating hormone. Comparison with luteinizing hormone.
Rat testis tissue receptor assays were utilized to study the kinetics of dissociation of human follicle-stimulating hormone (hFSH) and luteinizing hormone (hLH) under varying conditions of urea concentration and pH. In these competitive protein binding assays, 125I-hFSH and 125I-hLH were the radioligands and hormone dissociation was followed by a decrease in the ability of the dissociating horm...
متن کاملFollicle-stimulating hormone receptor gene polymorphism in chronic anovulatory women, with or without polycystic ovary syndrome: a cross-sectional study
BACKGROUND Polymorphisms at codons 307 and 680 are the most commonly encountered allelic variants of the follicle-stimulating hormone receptor (FSHR) gene. Studies in Caucasians suggest that certain FSHR variants are more common in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) than normal women. The objective of this study was to determine the distribution of FSHR gene polymorphisms at codons 307...
متن کاملCan fasting in the holy month of Ramadan affect on the levels of luteinizing hormone, follicle-stimulating hormone, and prolactin?
Adherence to the recommendations and obligations of Islam is of great importance in achieving a desirable lifestyle. Fasting in the holy month of Ramadan is one of the main principles of Islam, in which Muslims refrain from eating, drinking, oral medications, and smoking from Fajr (pre-dawn) to Maghrib (sunset). Islamic rules dictate that fasting is unacceptable if it causes harm to the health ...
متن کاملAge-Specific Serum Anti-Mullerian Hormone and Follicle Stimulating Hormone Concentrations in Infertile Iranian Women
Background Anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) is secreted by the granulosa cells of growing follicles during the primary to large antral follicle stages. Abnormal levels of AMH and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) may indicate a woman’s diminished ability or inability to conceive. Our aim is to investigate the changes in serum AMH and FSH concentrations at different age groups and its correlation w...
