چکیده
<p style='text-indent:20px;'>In this paper, we study a cross-infection model with diffusion and incubation period. Firstly, prove the global attractivity of infection-free equilibrium infected for spatially homogeneous system. Secondly, establish threshold dynamics heterogeneous system in terms basic reproduction number <inline-formula><tex-math id="M1">\begin{document}$ \mathcal{R}_0 $\end{document}</tex-math></inline-formula>. It turns out that steady state is globally attractive if id="M2">\begin{document}$ \mathcal{R}_0&lt;1 $\end{document}</tex-math></inline-formula>; uniformly persistent id="M3">\begin{document}$ \mathcal{R}_0&gt;1 Finally, explore influence different coefficients, spatial heterogeneity disease transmission rate period on id="M4">\begin{document}$ Our numerical results show id="M5">\begin{document}$ $\end{document}</tex-math></inline-formula> are decreasing functions coefficients period, respectively, while it increasing respect to heterogeneity.</p>

A Periodic Vector-Bias Malaria Model with Incubation Period
In this project, we propose a malaria model which takes into account the climate factors, the extrinsic incubation period (EIP) and the vector-bias effect. We first obtain the basic reproduction ratio R0 and then prove that it serves as a threshold parameter in determining the global dynamics of the model, that is, the disease-free periodic solution is globally attractive if R0 is less than one...
متن کاملA Malaria Transmission Model with Temperature-Dependent Incubation Period.
Malaria is an infectious disease caused by Plasmodium parasites and is transmitted among humans by female Anopheles mosquitoes. Climate factors have significant impact on both mosquito life cycle and parasite development. To consider the temperature sensitivity of the extrinsic incubation period (EIP) of malaria parasites, we formulate a delay differential equations model with a periodic time d...
متن کاملAssociation between Severity of MERS-CoV Infection and Incubation Period
The incubation period of an infectious disease is the time from the moment of exposure to an infectious agent until signs and symptoms of the disease appear. If infection occurred at time Xi for the patient i, and symptom onset occurred at time Zi, the incubation period is defined as Ti = Zi – Xi. However, estimation of the incubation period is often complicated because infection events cannot ...
متن کاملAssociation between Severity of MERS-CoV Infection and Incubation Period.
We analyzed data for 170 patients in South Korea who had laboratory-confirmed infection with Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus. A longer incubation period was associated with a reduction in the risk for death (adjusted odds ratio/1-day increase in incubation period 0.83, 95% credibility interval 0.68-1.03).
متن کاملRepeated challenge with prion disease: the risk of infection and impact on incubation period.
Natural exposure to prion disease is likely to occur throughout successive challenges, yet most experiments focus on single large doses of infectious material. We analyze the results from an experiment in which rodents were exposed to multiple doses of feed contaminated with the scrapie agent. We formally define hypotheses for how the doses combine in terms of statistical models. The competing ...
