چکیده
In recent years, the rapid and significant development of emerging markets has globally led to insight from potential investors academicians seeking assess these in terms risk inheritance. Therefore, this study aims explore validity applicability capital asset pricing model (henceforth CAPM) multi-factor models, namely Fama–French Pakistan’s stock market for period June 2010–June 2020. This collects data on 173 non-financial firms listed Pakistan exchange, KSE-100 index, follows Fama-MacBeth’s regression methodology empirical estimation. The findings conclude that small portfolios (small-size companies) earn considerably higher returns than big (large-size companies). Ultimately, associated with portfolio is reported be According output, CAPM was found valid explaining premium above risk-free rate. Similarly, FF three-factor time-series variation excess returns. Later, we added human into three- five-factor models. base six-factor outperformed other competing indicate more reward investor taking extra risks. Investors may benefit by timing their investments maximize Company investment adds reliable information, replicates value company and, long term, helps make rational decisions.

Ambiguity Theory and Asset Pricing: Empirical Evidence from Tehran Stock Exchange
Modern portfolio theory is based on the relationship between risk and return and in this paper, specific uncertainty conditions are introduced as ambiguity which affects the asset pricing. Also, the relationship between risk, ambiguity and return is examined. First, ambiguity is estimated by the means of three-variable and main component method, trading volume, ask-bid spread, error of earnings...
متن کاملThe Use of Asset Growth in Empirical Asset Pricing Models∗
We provide evidence that the empirical performance of the new factor models proposed by Hou, Xue, and Zhang (2015) and Fama and French (2015) depends crucially on how their investment factor is constructed. Specifically, we call attention to the fact that, in both models, the investment factor is based on the measure of growth in total assets from Cooper, Gulen, and Schill (2008) and not on wha...
متن کاملEmpirical Evaluation of Asset Pricing Models: A Comparison of the SDF and Beta Methods
The stochastic discount factor (SDF) method provides a unified general framework for econometric analysis of asset pricing models. There have been concerns that, compared to the classical beta method, the generality of the SDF method comes at the cost of efficiency in parameter estimation and power in specification tests. We establish the correct framework for comparing the two methods and show...
متن کاملA Likelihood-Based Comparison of Macro Asset Pricing Models
We estimate asset pricing models with multiple risks: long-run growth, long-run volatility, habit, and a residual. The Bayesian estimation accounts for the entire likelihood of consumption, dividends, and the pricedividend ratio. We find that the residual represents at least 80% of the variance of the price-dividend ratio. Moreover, the residual tracks most recognizable features of stock market...
متن کاملEmpirical Cross-Sectional Asset Pricing∗
I review recent research efforts in the area of empirical cross-sectional asset pricing. I start by summarizing the evidence on cross-sectional return predictability and the failure of standard (consumption) CAPM models and their conditional versions to explain these predictability patterns. One response in part of the recent literature is to focus on adhoc factor models, which summarize the cr...
