چکیده
Sodium iodide crystal co-doped with thallium and lithium is a promising scintillator wide application prospects for dual gamma neutron detection. In this study, compact gamma/neutron detector was developed based on 2-inch NaI(Tl+Li) (NaIL) readout 8 × silicon photomultiplier (SiPM) array. Dedicated transimpedance amplifier circuit the SiPM The energy resolution response linearity array were evaluated compared to those obtained tube (PMT) readout. 661.6 keV rays measured as 7.0% 6.5% PMT, respectively. linear of almost same that PMT in range up ~4 MeV. Neutron pulse shape discrimination by acquiring waveforms digitizer (12 bit/250 MSPS) off-line analysis. best figure merit (FOM) 3.75 optimized parameters, close performance (FOM = 4.07). experimental results show NaIL exhibit equivalent NaI(Tl) detectors excellent neutron/gamma discrimination, making it especially suitable devices requiring detection capabilities.

متن کاملScintillator Tile Hadron Calorimeter with Novel SiPM Readout
The CALICE collaboration is presently constructing a test hadron calorimeter (HCAL) with 7620 scintillator tiles read out by novel photo-detectors Silicon Photomultipliers (SiPMs). This prototype is the first device which uses SiPMs on a large scale. We present the design of the HCAL and report on measured properties of more than 10 thousand SiPMs. We discuss the SiPM efficiency, gain, cross-ta...
متن کاملA novel, SiPM-array-based, monolithic scintillator detector for PET.
Silicon photomultipliers (SiPMs) are of great interest to positron emission tomography (PET), as they enable new detector geometries, for e.g., depth-of-interaction (DOI) determination, are MR compatible, and offer faster response and higher gain than other solid-state photosensors such as avalanche photodiodes. Here we present a novel detector design with DOI correction, in which a position-se...

National Research Nuclear University, Moscow Engineering Physics Institute, Russia A full-body gamma-camera based on SiPM readout is currently under development as a part of MEPHI R activity supported in the framework of Russian Megagrants program. A goal of this development is a fast upgrade of existing medical equipment with minor changes in a system design and construction in order to combin...
متن کاملUse of internal scintillator radioactivity to calibrate DOI function of a PET detector with a dual-ended-scintillator readout.
PURPOSE Positron emission tomography (PET) detectors that use a dual-ended-scintillator readout to measure depth-of-interaction (DOI) must have an accurate DOI function to provide the relationship between DOI and signal ratios to be used for detector calibration and recalibration. In a previous study, the authors used a novel and simple method to accurately and quickly measure DOI function by i...
