A Cloud-Based Platform for Service Restoration in Active Distribution Grids

In modern distribution grids, the access to growing amount of data from various sources, execution complex algorithms on-demand, and control sparse actuators require on-demand scalability support fluctuating workloads. Cloud computing technologies represent a viable solution for these requirements. To ensure that can be exchanged shared efficiently, as well full achievement cloud benefits advanced analytic mining required in smart applications empowered with semantic information integration. This article adopts web into cloud-based platform analyze power grids apply service restoration application re-energize loads after an electrical fault. The exemplary implementation demo is powered by FIWARE, which based on open-source customizable building blocks future internet services, SARGON ontology energy domain. tests are deployed integrating information, IEC 61850 model, interfacing field devices grids. performances, measured network latency computation time, feasibility proposed solution, constituting reference next deployments platforms.
