چکیده
Drug-induced liver injury (DILI) can be considered in cases of acute hepatitis by the exclusion any disease-related causes. For several decades, anabolic steroids have been not only as drugs for treatment diseases such hypogonadism, sarcopenia, hypotrophy cancer patients, aplastic anemia, etc., but also risk factor failure, that lead to cancer, and even sudden death. Anabolic are known increasingly used legitimate medical uses, enhance physical performance promote muscle growth ideal body shape. The article presents a clinical case drug-induced after 2 months using stanozolol, synthetic testosterone derivative, 25-year-old previously healthy man. Thorough etiological investigations ruled out other causes DILI. man was treated at in-patient department discharged with improvement, it took disappearance hepatic cytolytic cholestatic changes. Clinicians should aware toxic male bodybuilders collect thorough history patient’s intake nutritional supplements may contain androgen derivatives.

Androgenic anabolic steroids are commonly abused by athletes and body-builders to help develop lean body mass and muscular strength to enhance their performance. However, at doses which are much higher than recommended therapeutic dosage, abuse of these drugs is commonly associated with cardiovascular side-effects that can lead to acute myocardial infarction and sudden death. We report here thr...

Drug-induced hepatotoxicity is an important cause of hepatocellular injury. Hepatic necrosis may range from asymptomatic elevations in transaminases to fulminant hepatic failure and death. Alverine is an antispasmodic drug which is especially used in patients with irritable bowel syndrome. Only a few cases of alverine associated hepatotoxicity have been reported previously. We present the case ...

Anabolic androgenic steroids (AAS) have been abused for decades by both professional and amateur athletes in order to improve physical performance or muscle mass. AAS abuse can cause adverse effects, among which are hepatotoxic effects. These effects include cholestatic icterus and possibly peliosis hepatis and hepatocellular carcinoma or adenoma. In particular, 17α-alkylated AAS appear to be h...

Anabolic-androgenic steroid (AAS), both prescription and nonprescription, use is a cause of ASIH. Current AAS use includes prescribing for wasting associated conditions. Nonpres...
