Urea line heating system is critical for Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) aftertreatment under low temperature environment. Traditionally, the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) motivates urea lines command and diagnostics directly. This paper illustrates a Controller Area Network (CAN)-based heater architecture development SCR system, as well generation. The CAN-based validated on vehicle experimental with four different given cases. It can be seen from validation results that logic algorithm are reasonable, failure modes could detected correctly including open circuit, short circuit inducement. In addition, able to set or clear each of according logic. ECU ECU1 communicate between other by CAN. study introduces new which meaningful whole assembly, considered in real application future.
