چکیده

Across prehistoric Europe several techniques were used to produce salt, including solar evaporation and the briquetage method. Here, authors focus on a third technique in Romania western Ukraine. Building excavations at Băile Figa series of wooden troughs found there, conduct experiments elucidate how these objects may have been salt production: drip water onto rock surfaces break them up; or filter and/or concentrate brine by decanting heating. The results demonstrate are ineffective concentrating brine, but highly efficient breaking up cleaning insoluble impurities.
