چکیده

Nowadays, as the number of items is increasing and that users have access to limited, user-item preference matrices in recommendation systems are always sparse. This leads a data sparsity problem. The latent factor analysis (LFA) model has been proposed solution As basis LFA model, singular value decomposition (SVD) especially biased SVD great effects high-dimensional sparse (HiDs) matrices. However, it disadvantage requiring several iterations before convergence. Besides, PID-incorporated SGD-based (PSL) introduces principle discrete PID controller into stochastic gradient descent (SGD), learning algorithm model. It could solve problem slow convergence speed, but its accuracy needs be improved. In order make better solution, this paper fuses PSL with hoping obtain result by combining their advantages reconciling disadvantages. experiments show performs than traditional matrix factorization algorithms on different sizes datasets.

A new general glucose homeostatic model using a proportional-integral-derivative controller

The glucose-insulin system is a challenging process to model due to the feedback mechanisms present, hence the implementation of a model-based approach to the system is an on-going and challenging research area. A new approach is proposed here which provides an effective way of characterising glycaemic regulation. The resulting model is built on the premise that there are three phases of insuli...

Predictive feedback control: an alternative to proportional–integral–derivative control

Even though employed widely in industrial practice, the popular proportional– integral–derivative (PID) controller has weaknesses that limit its achievable performance. In this paper, an alternative control scheme that combines the simplicity of the PID controller with the versatility of model predictive control is presented. The result is a controller that combines the time-delay compensation ...

A Chaos-Based Communication Scheme Using Proportional and Proportional-Integral Observers

In this paper, we propose a new chaos-based communication scheme using the observers. The novelty lies in the masking procedure that is employed to hide the confidential information using the chaotic oscillator. We use a combination of the addition and inclusion methods to mask the information. The performance of two observers, the proportional observer (P-observer) and the proportional integra...

A New Proportional-integral-derivative (PID) Controller Realization by Using Current Conveyor

In process control industry, the proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controllers are one of the most important control elements. In practice, operational amplifiers are generally used in analog controllers. On the other hand, current-mode (CM) circuits such as second-generation current conveyors (CCII) have considerable attention due to their wider frequency band, lower power consumption, be...

Algorithms for a closed-loop artificial pancreas: the case for proportional-integral-derivative control.

Closed-loop insulin delivery continues to be one of most promising strategies for achieving near-normal control of blood glucose levels in individuals with diabetes. Of the many components that need to work well for the artificial pancreas to be advanced into routine use, the algorithm used to calculate insulin delivery has received a substantial amount of attention. Most of that attention has ...
