چکیده
Abstract Background Iron deficiency anemia (IDA) is one of the most common leading global health problems, which could cause extreme fatigue, chest pain, headache, and even neurodevelopment deterioration in children. Traditionally, assessing serum ferritin, transferrin, iron are tools to diagnose IDA. However, a high false-positive rate these conventional biomarkers might be observed due inflammation, infection, or malignancy. Reticulocyte hemoglobin equivalent (RET-He) new parameter that reflects recent functional availability for erythropoiesis, with advantage real-time results as part automated reticulocyte analysis. The present study, therefore, aimed investigate utility RET-He diagnosis patients Methods This retrospective study collected laboratory data from both ferritin January 2022 through December 2022, excluded white blood cell count (WBC > 9380 cells/μL) C-reaction protein (CRP 0.5 mg/dL). was measured by Sysmex XN-10 XN-20 hematology analyzer (Sysmex, Kobe, Japan). Serum Roche Cobas e801 (Roche Diagnostics, Mannheim, Germany). total binding capacity (TIBC) were c702 Anemia defined concentration <13 g/dL men < 12 women. <15 μg/L. Student T-tests Pearson correlation performed, P-values less than 0.05 considered statistically significant. Statistical analyses performed SPSS software (Version 22.0). Results A 2208 patient enrolled this classified into IDA, deficiency, anemia, control groups according level concentration. 20.6, 27.7, 30.4, 32.3 pg groups, respectively. IDA group showed significantly lower levels (P 0.001). By analysis, weak positive (r = 0.236, 0.274), moderate 0.354), negative TIBC −0.369). In addition, average turn-around time (received-reported) 16.4 min, shorter other biochemical markers such iron, (57.7, 34.2, 34.4 min). Conclusion an assessment actually used biosynthesis useful rapid tool diagnosing monitoring anemia.

Diagnosis of Iron Deficiency and Iron Deficiency Anemia with Reticulocyte Hemoglobin Content among Children Aged 6-18 Years
Background: Iron deficiency (ID) is the most common micronutrient deficiency in the world. If left untreated, ID will lead to iron deficiency anemia (IDA) and other irreversible consequences. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommended reticulocyte hemoglobin content (Ret-He) as an alternative laboratory examination to screen and detect ID. We aimed to compare Ret-He with other laboratory pa...
متن کاملClinical utility of the reticulocyte hemoglobin content in the diagnosis of iron deficiency.
Determination of the reticulocyte hemoglobin content (CHr) provides an early measure of functional iron deficiency because reticulocytes are the earliest erythrocytes released into blood and circulate for only 1 to 2 days. The CHr in 78 patients undergoing bone marrow examination was measured to assess its clinical utility for the diagnosis of iron deficiency. Twenty-eight patients were iron de...

OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical significance of reticulocyte hemoglobin content (CHr) in the diagnosis of iron deficiency anemia (IDA) and to compare it with other conventional iron parameters. MATERIALS AND METHODS A total of 32 female patients with IDA (serum hemoglobin <120 g/L and serum ferritin <20 ng/ mL) and 18 female patients with iron deficiency (serum he...
متن کاملinvestigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures
deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
