چکیده
We and others have recently identified resident memory T cells regulatory in the human epidermis. Meanwhile, it has been largely unknown whether innate immune such as natural killer (NK) lymphoid (ILCs) are present Hence, this study sought to identify them examine their function. Healthy, non-inflamed skin was incubated with dispase II separate epidermis from underlying dermis, followed by floating on medium obtain emigrants. Subsequently, these emigrants were analyzed using flow cytometry. three populations of cells: CD94+CD127− NK (NK cells), CD94+CD127+ cytotoxic ILCs (cytoILCs), CD94−CD127+ conventional (convILCs) epidermal CD45+CD3− lymphocytes. The number convILCs is significantly higher than that cytoILCs. Additionally, completely express Ki-67, suggesting active situ proliferation. Furthermore, clearly tissue retention markers CD69, CD103, CD49a, indicating firm retention. Three CD56, NKG2D, NKp46, CD161. Epidermal exhibit expression NKp80 CD16 cell signature) lower CD200R (ILC those two ILC populations. produce greater IFN-γ Lastly, killing activity examined K562 cells, leukaemic cells. CD107a against populations, a potent cytotoxicity Collectively, we novel functional epidermis, equipped not only acquired but like dermis. Further studies required elucidate involvements pathomechanism various diseases.

Innate Immune Defenses in Human Tuberculosis: An Overview of the Interactions between Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Innate Immune Cells
Tuberculosis (TB) remains a serious global public health problem that results in up to 2 million deaths each year. TB is caused by the human pathogen, Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb), which infects primarily innate immune cells patrolling the lung. Innate immune cells serve as barometers of the immune response against Mtb infection by determining the inflammatory milieu in the lungs and promot...
متن کاملIdentification of a novel lymphoid population in the murine epidermis
T cell progenitors are known to arise from the foetal liver in embryos and the bone marrow in adults; however different studies have shown that a pool of T cell progenitors may also exist in the periphery. Here, we identified a lymphoid population resembling peripheral T cell progenitors which transiently seed the epidermis during late embryogenesis in both wild-type and T cell-deficient mice. ...
متن کاملInnate Immune Cells in Liver Inflammation
Innate immune system is the first line of defence against invading pathogens that is critical for the overall survival of the host. Human liver is characterised by a dual blood supply, with 80% of blood entering through the portal vein carrying nutrients and bacterial endotoxin from the gastrointestinal tract. The liver is thus constantly exposed to antigenic loads. Therefore, pathogenic microo...
متن کاملInnate immune cells in inflammation and cancer.
The innate immune system has evolved in multicellular organisms to detect and respond to situations that compromise tissue homeostasis. It comprises a set of tissue-resident and circulating leukocytes primarily designed to sense pathogens and tissue damage through hardwired receptors and eliminate noxious sources by mediating inflammatory processes. While indispensable to immunity, the inflamma...
