چکیده

Abstract Aim This study aims to review the literature regarding utility and accuracy of transcranial toppler (TCD) ultrasound in diagnosis cerebral vasospasm (CV) following aneurysmal subarachnoid haemorrhage (aSAH). Method A systematic was conducted PRISMA guidelines. Pubmed Google Scholar online databases were searched using designated MeSH search terms: “subarachnoid haemorrhage” AND “aneurysm” “aneurysmal” “cerebral vasospasm” “vasospasm” “transcranial Doppler” “TCD”. Results limited publications not older than 10 years prior this research (May-June 2020) restricted English language. All articles found through screened their titles, then abstract finally from reading full. The remaining by previously set inclusion exclusion criteria. Finally, a further cross-reference completed order include missed database research. yielded 1378 results. Of these, screening process, 6 papers included study. total 403 patients extracted data. number reported diagnoses CV 172. percentage with calculated for each overall, an average 42.68% diagnosed CV. TCD showed have sensitivity specificity 68% 74%, respectively 71% accuracy. Conclusion is useful diagnostic tool that could help predicting early diagnosing occurrence CV, good sensitivity, specificity,

Significance of C-Reactive Protein and Transcranial Doppler in Cerebral Vasospasm Following Aneurysmal Subarachnoid Hemorrhage

OBJECTIVE Cerebral vasospasm is a common and potentially devastating complication of aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH). Inflammatory processes seem to play a major role in the pathogenesis of vasospasm. C-reactive protein (CRP) constitutes a highly sensitive inflammatory marker. Elevation of serum CRP levels has been demonstrated in patients with aSAH. The purpose of the current study w...

Transcranial Doppler ultrasonography for diagnosis of cerebral vasospasm after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage: mean blood flow velocity ratio of the ipsilateral and contralateral middle cerebral arteries.

BACKGROUND Transcranial Doppler (TCD) is widely accepted to monitor cerebral vasospasm after subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH); however, its predictive value remains controversial. OBJECTIVE To investigate the predictive reliability of an increase in the mean blood flow velocity (mBFV) ratio of the ipsilateral to contralateral middle cerebral arteries (I/C mBFV) compared with the conventional abs...

Vasospasm after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage.

Despite every effort, 13% of patients with SAH still die or are permanently disabled as a consequence of vasospasm. Optimal outcome after aneurysmal SAH depends on careful assessment and management of patients throughout the course of hospitalization. Critical care nurses play a crucial role in this process. Efforts continue to understand the cascade of events that lead to cerebral vasospasm an...

Polyuria and cerebral vasospasm after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage

BACKGROUND Natriuresis with polyuria is common after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH). Previous studies have shown an increased risk of symptomatic cerebral vasospasm or delayed cerebral ischemia (DCI) in patients with hyponatremia and/or the cerebral salt wasting syndrome (CSW). However, natriuresis may occur in the absence of hyponatremia or hypovolemia and it is not known whether th...
