807 Lower Limb Pathological Fracture Audit

Abstract Aim To minimise the delays in surgical management and differentiate among patients with suspected not pathological fracture. Method Review of all admitted since January 2022 fracture or Pathological Reviewed gospels (previous recorded/saved files) then ECR/radiology systems for outcomes. All spinal upper limb were excluded as they are ambulatory. Results Initially identified 24 patients, 10 14 included. females males. Mean age was 69 (range 45 – 90). Majority site lesions on hip (with 11 patients). investigations CT scan, MRI bone scan which took mean time days completion to theatre 26 days. length stay 21 3 77, 16 outliers excluded). 50% died at 6 months follow up. 1 patient passed away inpatient dislocated Pelvic floor repair but suitable further surgery whereas requiring return washout debridement. Conclusions A a is risk hugely significant delay life saving prolonging operation. Patient who requires biopsy present will get within weeks injury.
