چکیده
Abstract Background To determine the global prevalence of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) based on published studies and reveal factors which influence RA estimates. Methods Four electronic databases- ProQuest Central, MEDLINE, Web Science, EMBASE were searched for publications from 1980 2019, reporting estimates RA. A random-effect meta-analysis model was used to produce pooled The potential sources between-study heterogeneity identified using sensitivity analysis, sub-group meta-regression analyses. Results total 67 consisting 212,335,171 patients included in meta-analysis. estimated 0.46% (95% CI: 0.39-0.54; I2=99.9%) with a 95% prediction interval (0.06–1.27). point-prevalence 0.45% 0.38- 0.53%), while period-prevalence (0.36% 0.57%). highest at 0.69% 0.47–0.95) derived linked data studies. Based subgroup analyses, influenced by geographical location, risk bias studies, method urban population setting over stratified periods. Genome scan meta-analysis of rheumatoid arthritis.
OBJECTIVE Genome scans for rheumatoid arthritis (RA) have yielded inconsistent results. The absence of replication of linkage might be due to lack of power of individual studies. We performed a genome scan meta-analysis of published data to increase statistical power and to assess evidence for linkage of RA across genome scan studies. METHODS Four RA whole-genome scans containing 767 families...
متن کاملPrevalence of rheumatoid arthritis.
In 1956, a committee of the American Rheumatism Association was formed to investigate diagnostic criteria for rheumatoid arthritis. They recommended that the disease should be classified into three categories: definite, probable, and possible, the classification being based on a points system. The eleven points used for this classification included symptoms, physical signs, radiographic appeara...
متن کاملThe prevalence of depression in rheumatoid arthritis: a systematic review and meta-analysis
OBJECTIVE There is substantial uncertainty regarding the prevalence of depression in RA. We conducted a systematic review aiming to describe the prevalence of depression in RA. METHODS Web of Science, PsycINFO, CINAHL, Embase, Medline and PubMed were searched for cross-sectional studies reporting a prevalence estimate for depression in adult RA patients. Studies were reviewed in accordance wi...
متن کاملRituximab for Rheumatoid Arthritis: A Meta-Analysis and systematic Review
Background: Rituximab (RTX) is a biological agent used for the treatment of refractory rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The present systematic review and meta-analysis update the safety and efficacy of RTX for the treatment of RA in data published since 2006. Methods: We searched PubMed from January 2000 to March 2010, and recent ACR Annual meeting abstracts for randomized (RCT) and non-randomized, c...
متن کاملAssociation between CCR6 and rheumatoid arthritis: a meta-analysis.
OBJECTIVE Chemokine (C-C motif) receptor 6 gene (CCR6) polymorphism has been reported to be associated with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in different ethnic populations. Moreover, its inhibition by monoclonal antibody in mouse model has suppressed arthritis. However, few replication studies have reported conflicting results about this association. Therefore, to establish that CCR6 indeed is a risk...
