705 Aortic Graft Infection Managed with Bovine Patch, A Case Report and Literature Review

Abstract Aim to describe good outcomes in a case with Aortic graft infection (AGI) managed Bovine patch and outline management of AGI. Method Literature review utilising keywords ‘’Aortic infection’’AND’’Bovine Patch’’ revealed initially 1350 articles, all studies English were included, duplicates removed, screening was performed using the PRISMA flow. To correlate findings, we followed up 72-year-old patient who presented aortic by explantation fashioned insertion for 1 year any re-infection clinics. Results search resulted 73 articles discussing role Patch as choice prevention re-infection. In our case, there no clinical nor radiological evidence over year. showed that AGI is rare but serious complication mortality 60%.The main IV antibiotics, consideration re-implantation various types grafts. The European society vascular surgery (ESVS) guidelines recommend an antibiotic soaked graft, yet rate quoted at 20%. however, free from follow up. Conclusions anitbioics remain mainstay treatment grafts infection, increasing show excellent freedom Hence, this might be conduit when performing such surgeries; more needed.
