698 Frequency of Short vs Long-Term Reporting of Bariatric Surgery Outcomes

Abstract Bariatric surgery is an effective treatment for obesity. Though both short- and long-term outcomes have been reported, most of the published literature to date has focused on short-term outcomes. Identification post-operative weight regain, re-emergence comorbidities require follow-up. We aimed identify distribution changes in follow-up times within bariatric literature. screened through 1807 articles from 9 journals January June 2015 2021 via PubMed identified reporting loss as a main outcome. Follow-up intervals were divided into (<3 years), medium- (3–5 (≥5 years) per American Society Metabolic Surgery (ASMBS) guidelines. 53 63 respectively.
