چکیده

Abstract Introduction We report a case of limb salvage due to intra uterine brachial artery thrombosis. Treatment modalities include medical, endovascular, and surgical. Early recognition, prompt institution appropriate treatment monitoring is vital achieve successful revascularisation prevention lifelong morbidity. Description A male baby at (36 + 6week) gestation was born nulliparous mother with gestational diabetes via uncomplicated elective caesarean section. The child noted have ‘flail’ ischeamic post-delivery. There were no palpable pulses in the ultrasonography confirmed thrombosis proximal artery. Aetiology dense fibrotic circumferential constriction vessels plexus. Successful achieved contralateral interposition reversed great saphenous vein graft. Discussion Neonatal ischaemia rare disease entity devastating morbidity- including compartment syndrome, tissue loss, reduced growth, irreparable neuropathies Volkmann’s syndrome. initial diagnosis based on characteristic sequelae ischaemia. Therapy should be individualised clinical presentation.

Revascularization Of Late-Presenting Acute Limb Ischaemia And Limb Salvage.

BACKGROUND Late-presenting acute limb ischaemia represents a challenging vascular emergency. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the outcome in patients following revascularization and management of existing or impending reperfusion injury of ischaemic limbs over a 12-year period (2002-2014). METHODS Routine procedural codes were used to label consecutive patients admitted 72 hours foll...

Angioplasty in critical limb ischaemia: one-year limb salvage results.

INTRODUCTION Lower extremity amputation prevention (LEAP) is an ongoing programme in our institution aimed at limb salvage in patients with critical limb ischaemia (CLI). Patients in the LEAP programme with reconstructible anatomy on initial Doppler imaging received either bypass surgery or percutaneous transluminal balloon angioplasty (PTA). We describe the 1-year limb salvage rates in 46 cons...

Upper limb ischaemia - a single centre experience.

INTRODUCTION This paper reviews the epidemiology, aetiology and management of upper limb ischaemia in a series of 8 patients presenting to a tertiary referral centre over a 4-year period and the review of the pertinent literature. MATERIALS AND METHODS Details of patients admitted to Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) due to critical ischaemia of the upper limbs were obtained from admission summar...

Upper limb ischaemia after formation of dialysis fistula.

UNLABELLED Limb ischaemia caused by formation of dialysis fistula is rare but serious complication. The severity of symptoms may vary but rest pains and necrotic lesions are observed in most advance cases. In these patients different invasive procedures for treatment are performed - from simplest dialysis fistula ligation to complicated vascular reconstructions. The aim of the study was to eval...

Critical Upper Limb Ischemia Due to Brachial Tourniquet in Misdiagnosed Thoracic Outlet Syndrome after Carpal Tunnel Decompression: A Case Report

We present the case of a 68-year-old woman, referred to our department for critical upper limb ischemia, which had occurred a few days after homolateral surgical ligamentotomy for carpal tunnel syndrome, diagnosed and confirmed by electromyography, and performed with a brachial tourniquet. The patient was later admitted for subsequent progressive necrosis of the first three fingers of the left ...
