چکیده

While vasculature plays an essential role in skin physiology its architecture and function are altered aged diseased skin. There is thus a need to develop innovative 3D vitro models with adjustable study the regulation of angiogenesis. Hence, this work aims vascularized model characteristics response angiogenic stimuli. To do so, scaffold-free approach was used: primary fibroblast cell sheets were generated seeded endothelial cells human keratinocytes, presence Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF). assess plasticity vasculature, concentration VEGF decreased at beginning reconstruction and/or after superimposition sheets. Influence modulation analyzed two main levels: (1) vascular network (length ramification recruitment perivascular visualized by CD31 colIagen IV staining) (2) epidermal-dermal crosstalk (deposition dermal-epidermal junction staining collagen VII laminin 332). Results showed that decrease only led slight modifications formation while absence drastically reduced vessel throughout sample depth. Recruitment decrease, regardless culture step. Interestingly, 332 inversely regulated, suggesting disruption DEJ maturation highlighting importance compartment crosstalk. We have developed novel tunable responding subtle This interest mimic physiological compromised conditions involving component.

Emotional responding to fearful and disgusting stimuli in specific phobics.

Individuals with small animal and blood-injection-injury (BII) phobias respond to phobia-relevant stimuli with both fear and disgust. However, recent studies suggest that fear is the dominant emotional response in animal phobics whereas disgust is the primary emotional response in BII phobics. The present study examined emotional responding toward pictures of spiders, surgical procedures, and t...

A new approach to tissue engineering of vascularized skeletal muscle

Tissue Engineering of skeletal muscle tissue still remains a major challenge. Every neo-tissue construct of clinically relevant dimensions is highly dependent on an intrinsic vascularisation overcoming the limitations of diffusion conditioned survival. Approaches incorporating the arteriovenous-loop model might bring further advances to the generation of vascularised skeletal muscle tissue. In ...
