Biological activities of metabolites of 6-chloro-5-cyclohexylindan-1-carboxylic acid (TAI-284: anti-inflammatory agent).
The pharmacological activities of five metabolites of an anti-inflammatory compound, 6-chloro-5-cyclohexylindan-1-carboxylic acid (TAI-284) were investi gated and compared with TAI-284 and phenylbutazone. The metabolite IIb (cis 3'-hydroxy-cyclohexyl, β-form) was almost equivalent to TAI-284 regarding anti inflammatory activity as estimated by the carrageenin edema test, and was mor...

In the title compound, C(5)H(5)NO(3), the mol-ecule lies on a crystallographic mirror plane with one half-mol-ecule in the asymmetric unit. An intramolecular C-H⋯O inter-action is present. In the crystal, strong inter-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds result in the formation of a linear chain structure along [100], and there are also weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between the chains which help to stabi...

In the title mol-ecule, C(10)H(8)ClN(3)O(2), the dihedral angle between the pyridine and pyrazole rings is 64.01 (8)°. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds link mol-ecules, forming extended chains along [001]. These chains are, in turn, linked by weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O inter-actions, forming a two-dimensional network perpendicular to the b axis.

The title compound, C(7)H(4)ClFO(2), is a twofold halogenated derivative of benzoic acid. The C-C-C angles within the aromatic moiety cover a range 116.11 (14)-123.96 (15)°, with the maximum and the minimum value next to each other. In the crystal, O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds form carb-oxy-lic acid dimers, which are further connected by C-H⋯F contacts into undulating sheets perpendicular to the a axis.

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(7)H(5)ClO(3), contains two mol-ecules; both feature an intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bond, which generates an S(6) ring. In the crystal, both mol-ecules form inversion dimers linked by pairs of O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds with R(2) (2)(8) ring motifs. The dimers are inter-linked by C-H⋯O inter-actions.
