5G IoT-based geohazard monitoring and early warning system and its application

Abstract With the expansion of human production activities, geological disasters caused by slope instability are occurring more frequently. Hence, research on effective monitoring and forecasting geotechnical stability slopes is great significance for prevention mitigation disasters. In this study, a landslide early warning system based 5G Internet Things (IoT) technology introduced. The monitors important indicators such as three-dimensional surface displacement, rainfall, ground cracks using Global Navigation Satellite System equipment various IoT sensors deployed site. key data transmitted displayed communication advanced visualization technologies. An guideline established combining deformation rate–time curve according to four-level method well embedded vector maps topographic geomorphological remote sensing map area, section map, point distribution map. has functions accurate acquisition, rapid transmission, automatic search, comprehensive analysis applied study creep Lianhe terraces in Youxi County, Fujian Province, with remarkable results.
