چکیده
The hair follicle (HF) undergoes cycles of growth (anagen), regression (catagen) and rest (telogen) phases. Chronic reactive loss are linked to dysfunctions the cycle. association active ingredients targeting specifically HF could help restore cycle promote growth. efficacy 3 was evaluated on growth/anchorage markers in human dermal papilla cells (DPC): a new extract from Silybum marianum (SME) stimulating shaft anchorage by keratin 75 modulation, Manganese PCA (MnPCA) Lespedeza capitata (LCE). Antibody array gene reporter assays allowed analyse receptor tyrosine kinase phosphorylation Wnt/β catenin pathway. ELISA tests were performed quantify release Versican, VEGF DKK1. 5α-reductase (5αR) activity also measured. anti-hair serum containing these then ex vivo full-thickness scalp skin model investigate its ability improve In DPC model, SME activated factor signalling pathways (EGFR x1.9 PDGFR x2.8 respectively) their downstream effectors (ERK, GSK3, Akt, STAT x1.2 2). MnPCA induced Versican (x33) (x3.3) secretion, but (+80%). LCE reduced DKK1 (-72%) 5αR (-60%). explant stimulated shafts production (+102%) significantly prolonged anagen phase improving score matrix keratinocytes proliferation. Thus, SME, displayed complementary properties. interest combining confirmed using that improved phase.

Antioxidant Activity of Hepatoprotective Silymarin and Silybum marianum L. Extract
The paper presents the antioxidant activity evaluation of Silybum marianum L. extract in comparison with the commercial silymarin standard solution (2 mg/mL) and the time-dependent antioxidant capacity by calculating the free radical 2,2-diphenyl-1-pycryl-hydrazyl (DPPH) reaction rate in the presence of these biosystems. The best result was obtained in the case of S. marianum L. extract, with a...
متن کاملFrequency of Sodium Valproate-Induced Hair Loss and Curly Hair
Sodium valproate has been widely used by man as an antiepileptic drug. Hair loss and curly hair is a rare side effect of sodium valproate. We have conducted a prospective clinical study in the Department of Neurology in Shafa Hospital, Kerman, Iran for ten years (1994-2004). All 211 epileptic patients in our study were given sodium valproate as a single drug treatment. During the course of ther...

The cross-section trichometer: a new device for measuring hair quantity, hair loss, and hair growth.
BACKGROUND Office physicians are unable to measure hair quantity, hair loss, and hair growth in a simple and meaningful manner. One solution is to measure the cross-sectional area of a bundle of hair that is growing within a premeasured cross-section of scalp. OBJECTIVE The objective was to design a mechanical device that precisely measures the cross-sectional area of a bundle of hair and des...
متن کاملChrysanthemum zawadskii extract induces hair growth by stimulating the proliferation and differentiation of hair matrix.
Chrysanthemum zawadskii has been proven to possess hair growth activity and has been used as treatment for hair loss. The aim of this study was to provide a novel explanation of the mechanism by which Chrysanthemum zawadskii extracts (CZe) promote hair growth and to characterize the affected hair follicle (HF) regions and the progression of growth. The n-butanol and water fractions of CZe were ...
