534 NB-UVB therapy response of different body regions in vitiligo

Narrow-Band Ultraviolet B (NB-UVB) in combination with topical therapy is a widely used treatment for non-segmental vitiligo (NSV). The location of the lesions influence on potential repigmentation response after therapy. To date however, these differences therapeutic between specific anatomical areas body have not been fully characterized. This study aimed to evaluate clinical NB-UVB 19 different regions. A multicentre NSV patients starting was performed hospitals Egypt, Singapore and Netherlands. Evaluation depigmented surface area regions conducted VES at baseline 6 months total 101 completed study. highest found lower facial region, followed by upper region trunk (> 75% 58%, 48% 46% patients, respectively). face showed significant better than face. lowest rates (<25% repigmentation) were observed feet (81%), hands (68%). Left-right dorsal-ventral sides demonstrated no repigmentation. In addition, torso limbs similar treatment. first compare We that BSA can be classified into 4 composite prognosis treatment, i.e. face; torso&limbs; axillae; hands&feet, from repigmentation, respectively. These results may direct use clinicians as it provides more detailed information per region.
