3D Topography Modeling from Integrating Bathymetric and Aerial Imagery for Sermo Reservoir Monitoring

Abstract Reservoir monitoring is important in maintaining water retention and controlling volume changes as well sedimentation rates. usually uses conventional means such recording the pole leveling height at a certain time, using large ships with sounding method determining position depth by utilizing total stations intersection measurements. However, methods require lot of manpower, significant period equipment, and, more often than not, yielding results that cannot be used to depict real condition corresponding reservoir. This paper bathymetric aerial photographic data construct land topography, state reservoir, 3D model which later can basis for analyses. An effective way merging aforementioned point cloud generated from surveys UAVs. The was then basic material creating DEM, land, contours. quality test meet SNI 7647:2010 standard tolerance 1.96*standard deviation 0.191. It passes 8202:2015 photo CE90/LE90 values 0.325 0.285, respectively. Merging regular reservoir or shallow waters proven efficient, effective, optimum compared existing means.
