چکیده
Tailor-made polymers are needed to fully exploit the possibilities of additive manufacturing, constructing complex, and functional devices in areas such as bioelectronics. In this paper, synthesis a conducting biocompatible graft copolymer which can be 3D printed using direct melting extrusion methods is shown. For purpose, copolymers composed by polymer poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) polylactide (PLA) designed. The PEDOT-g-PLA synthesized chemical oxidative polymerization between 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene PLA macromonomers. with different compositions obtained characterized. rheological characterization indicates that containing below 20 wt% PEDOT show right complex viscosity values suitable for ink writing (DIW). printing tests DIW methodology allows parts shapes high resolution (200 µm). conductive patterns excellent cell growth maturation neonatal cardiac myocytes cocultured fibroblasts.

The in vivo bone response of 3D periodic hydroxyapatite (HA) scaffolds is investigated. Two groups of HA scaffolds (11 mm diameter x 3.5 mm thick) are fabricated by direct-write assembly of a concentrated HA ink. The scaffolds consist of cylindrical rods periodically arranged into four quadrants with varying separation distances between rods. In the first group, HA rods (250 microm in diameter)...
