چکیده
Abstract Two-dimensional cutting and packing problems model a large number of relevant industrial applications. The literature on practical algorithms for such is very large. We introduce the , library two-dimensional orthogonal problems. The makes available, in unified format, 25 benchmarks from total over 3000 instances, provides direct links to surveys typologies, includes list links.

On Two Dimensional Packing
The paper considers packing of rectangles into an innnite bin. Similar to the Tetris game, the rectangles arrive from the top and, once placed, cannot be moved again. The rectangles are moved inside the bin to reach their place. For the case in which rotations are allowed, we design an algorithm whose performance ratio is constant. In contrast, if rotations are not allowed, we show that no algo...
متن کاملAlgorithms for two-dimensional cutting stock and strip packing problems using dynamic programming and column generation
We investigate several two-dimensional guillotine cutting stock problems and their variants in which orthogonal rotations are allowed. We first present two dynamic programming based algorithms for the Rectangular Knapsack (RK) problem and its variants in which the patterns must be staged. The first algorithm solves the recurrence formula proposed by Beasley; the second algorithm —for staged pat...
متن کاملAn Algorithm for Two Dimensional Cutting Stock Problems with Demand
In this paper, two-dimensional cutting stock problem with demand has been studied. In this problem, cutting of large rectangular sheets into specific small pieces should be carried out hence, the waste will be minimized. Solving this problem is important to decrease waste materials in any industry that requires cutting of sheets. In most previus studies, the demand of pieces has not been usually...
