چکیده
Two-dimensional (2D) materials, an electrifying family of innovative have recently attracted wide attention due to their remarkable characteristics, primarily high optical transparency, exceptional metallic conductivity, mechanical strength, carrier mobility, tunable band gap values, and optimum work function. Interestingly, 2D-nanosheets/nanolayers (2D-NLs) might be synthesized into single/multi-layers using simple processes such as chemical vapor deposition (CVD), bath (CBD), liquid-phase exfoliation that simply enhance optoelectronic properties. However, the stability 2D-NLs is one most significant challenges limits commercialization. Researchers been focusing on with aim developing next-generation solar cells. Easily distinctive are based synthesis process, surface functional groups, modification other materials/hybrid materials thereby improve applicability hole transport layer (HTL) electron (ETL) in Moreover, metal/non-metal-based dopants significantly ability subsequently efficacy dye-sensitized cells (DSSCs). In this context, research has focused 2D-NL-based photoanodes working electrodes photoconversion efficiency (PCE) DSSCs. Herein, we mainly focus synthesizing 2D-NLs, during synthesis, stability, high-performing

The dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) has been proven to have a good chance to become a notable competitor for solar cells based on today technology of p-n junction. The principle of operation of DSSC solar cells in comparison with conventional semiconductor solar cells where light absorption and charge carrier transport are done by the semiconductor is different. In DSSC these two tasks are sep...
متن کاملRecent development of carbon nanotubes materials as counter electrode for dye-sensitized solar cells
Dye-sensitized solar cells present promising low-cost alternatives to the conventional Silicon (Si)-based solar cells. The counter electrode generally consists of Pt deposited onto FTO plate. Since Pt is rare and expensive metal, nanostructured carbonaceous materials have been widely investigated as a promising alternative to replace it. Carbon nanotubes have shown significant properties such...

The dye-sensitized solar cells (DSC) provides a technically and economically credible alternative concept to present day p–n junction photovoltaic devices. In contrast to the conventional systems where the semiconductor assume both the task of light absorption and charge carrier transport the two functions are separated here. Light is absorbed by a sensitizer, which is anchored to the surface o...
متن کاملDye Sensitized Solar Cells
Dye sensitized solar cell (DSSC) is the only solar cell that can offer both the flexibility and transparency. Its efficiency is comparable to amorphous silicon solar cells but with a much lower cost. This review not only covers the fundamentals of DSSC but also the related cutting-edge research and its development for industrial applications. Most recent research topics on DSSC, for example, ap...
