چکیده

Scars can manifest with cosmetic disfigurement, functional impairment, and discomfort which be particularly impactful in children adolescents. Laser therapy has been recently developed as a useful modality to improve both the appearance of scars status patients. Our study aims determine an association between ratings blind evaluators patient reported outcomes pediatric scar patients pre- post-treatment combined pulsed dye laser (PDL) fractional carbon dioxide (CO2) therapy. A retrospective medical record review was performed receiving intervention for management 1/2001 9/2021. Pre-treatment clinical photographs were extracted from record; cases fewer than 2 images during treatment excluded. Demographic data, type, etiology, images, details, adverse events collected patients’ records. total 306 underwent 9/2021; 136 had baseline photo 165 scars. Average number per lesion 4.5 (SD ± 3.04, range 1-16). Locations predominantly on head/neck (33%), followed by upper extremity (24%), trunk (19%), lower (19%). The type treated hypertrophic (90%). To date, this is largest cohort that have undergone various etiologies. We hypothesize objective not correlated improvement satisfaction. Thus, we aim develop patient-centered scale utilized evaluate progress.
