243 Health-related quality of life in a Canadian atopic dermatitis cohort

Adult patients ages 16 to 78 with a confirmed diagnosis of AD (N=151) as per Hanifin and Rajka criteria were consented at the McGill University Health Centre, Centre Excellence for Atopic Dermatitis BioBank longitudinal cohort. We aimed here identify host treatment factors that contribute health-related quality life (HRQL) disease. At baseline, we collected data on patient demographics, self-management, treatment, healthcare utilization. White (55.6%) women (57.0%), aged 25 34 (27.8%) predominated this cohort, 15.2% reporting adult-onset 31.9% diagnosed before age 2. 29.8% missed work or school because AD; 19.0% least three times in last year. Comorbid asthma (40.4%), allergic rhinitis food intolerance (37.7%) common. Despite comprising wide range ethnicities, 79.5% born Canada; 65.6% had completed university graduate degree.
